- Brushed Receiver and Brushless Receiver
Brushed receivers are available for the HBX 16890 RC car, which is the earliest type of receiver to appear and is usually cheaper for consumers on a budget. Brushless receivers are usually more expensive, as brushless receivers cost more.
- Brushed 5-Wire Servo and Brushless 3-Wire Servo
Brushed 5-wire servos need to be connected to VCC, GND, signal line and two power lines; brushless 3-wire servos only need to be connected to VCC, GND and signal line three wires.
