    A thicker oil will provide more drag, reduce wheel spin and increase traction, while a thinner oil will give smoother, faster differential action. For off-road driving, a thicker oil is usually preferred to handle rough road conditions and maintain traction.
    For on-road driving, a thinner oil provides smoother cornering and better acceleration.
